Neil Allison will present his approach to prototyping. In essence, he's far more interested in the verb - prototyping - than the noun - prototype.
It will be a basic introduction for those who haven't tried it before and an opportunity for more experienced attendees to share their experiences - successes, failures and challenges when prototyping.
In a nutshell:
- Looking at the why, the when & the how of prototyping
- Considering a few of the prototyping tools and resources available
- Sharing a few case studies from his work prototyping for website and applications development at the University of Edinburgh

Neil Allison champions usability and user-centred design at the University of Edinburgh through his work with the University Website Programme. He's an experienced trainer and has been involved in public sector website development and content management for over 10 years.
